Description
When I first saw this butterfly it was on a piece of grass that was so thin I couldn't get the butterfly upright. So I picked a flower, put a drop of honey on it, and go the critter to climb onto the flower. Amazing what can be done early in the morning when an insect id still lethargic.
Tech Specs: Canon 1D Mark III (F11, 1/250, ISO 200) + a Canon MPE-65mm macro lens (@ 4x) with an 81A warming filter + a diffused MT-24EX. 320 EX slaved off of the MT-24EX and fired into a vinyl table cloth for the background.
