Delantech is a master of macro photography. That much we know. But for this artist to come up with something new ever time is what really impresses me.

It is also the fact that the work of this artist has caused me to see things differently that makes me come back to them again and again. Delantech's work causes me to really think about the smaller things, the details, the tiny creatures, and how big the world must seem to them. Delantech really captures very effectively the details of his subjects and their surroundings and this piece is no exception.

What strikes me first about this particular macro shot is the warm, orangey hues. This sets it out from most nature shots and gives it a more fuzzy, comfy feel. Appropriate I feel, as ladybirds are cute.

The second thing that I noticed is the boldness of the piece- ladybirds are of course so small, yet this one takes up a large amount of the composition. Also, the colours red, green, black and white contrast nicely and are lovely and bright- very striking.

Lastly, I like the fact that this ladybird is on a blade of grass and appears (to me, at least) to be sleeping.

All in all, a lovely piece, which I enjoy looking at very much. Thanks for sharing.
