Another early morning shot of a slowly moving bee.

Tech Specs: Canon 1D Mark III (F13, 1/250, ISO 100) + a Canon MPE-65mm macro lens (@2x) + a diffused MT-24EX (0 FEC). I used a grape leaf to keep the background from being black.

This is one of the better macro shots I've seen. The detail and clarity are absolutely amazing.

The colours of the wasp are nice - bright but not overly so.

The composition could be better, though. Vertically the wasp is too centred, and I feel there should be more space on the right side than the left, because that's the way the wasp is facing. Overall, I think there's too much space around the wasp - I think a tighter crop would work better.
Also, the DOF seems a bit too shallow to me. I'd like to see a little more of the wasp in focus. However, you'd probably struggle to do focus stacking with a live subject, so this is a bit of a moot point.

Anyway. In terms of detail, this is magnificent. I just think the composition could be improved somewhat. But it's still a really great shot. Kudos!

(Also, first official critique! Yay.)

What an intriguing picture! Not only is the detail remarkable, as always, but this particular shot makes the bee seem so much like a mischievous imp, wringing its hands with an unfathomable glint in its eye. More so than usual, I think you've really anthropomorphized this creature and given it personality beyond what I've seen before. Well done!
