Stopped by Lago d'Averno on the way home to practice dragging the shutter and managed to find a willing subject (a Violet Darter).
Tech Specs: Canon 1D Mark III (F13, 1/20, ISO 100) + a Canon MPE-65mm macro lens (@ 2x) + a diffused MT-24EX. The shutter speed (1/20) allowed me to expose the background while the flash exposed the subject.
