I found this female beetle eating pollen while mating. At least he bought her dinner... 
Tech Specs: Canon 70D (F11, 1/250, ISO 100) + a Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens (5x) + a diffused MT-24EX. This is a single, uncropped, frame taken hand held.
Technique: I couldn't get a frame with both the male and the female's eyes in focus (they were too far apart and at an odd angle) so I cranked up the magnification and took a portrait. Always look for another composition if your first idea doesn't work.

Wow, don't think I've ever seen pollen so clearly.
Now I'm curious as to why male Bee's can't collect pollen? does it fly off when they're in flight?
